Kursbeschreibung
Women in leadership positions at universities often navigate structures that weren't built with them in mind: putting forward an idea that only gains traction once a male colleague repeats it, speaking up in committee meetings and still not being heard, taking on tasks no one else wants and that no one recognizes as leadership. These patterns aren't just inconvenient — over time, they take a toll on energy, confidence, and well-being.
This workshop looks at both sides of the equation: the dynamics that create these moments — including persistent stereotypes about what male and female leadership "should" look like — and the inner resources needed to navigate them without burning out. Why is the same decisive behavior read so differently depending on who's showing it? And what does it actually take, personally, to lead with both clarity and self-care over the long term?
Through case examples from academic everyday life, self-reflection, practical exercises, and peer case consultation, participants build a clearer understanding of the dynamics they encounter, learn to recognize and counter common leadership stereotypes, and develop a personal toolkit for resilience and self-care to protect their energy in demanding leadership roles.
