Kursbeschreibung

In this workshop, the participants learn how to apply (generative) AI tools at different stages in the context of science communication. To this end, the participants will explore the key concepts of science communication, gain an understanding of how AI tools can be used responsibly and learn the fundamentals of prompt engineering. The workshop also provides an overview of the recent best practices regarding the usage of AI in science and science communication.


Learning Objectives:

The participants …

  • know different dimensions and formats of science communication.
  • know recent guidelines and best practices regarding the use of AI in science communication.
  • understand the underlying priciple of generative AI tools and are aware of their limitations.
  • are able to write good prompts and to evaluate and improve the results obtained by generative AI tools.
  • know how to apply generative AI tools at different stages of the science communication process, e.g., for target audience analysis, content planning and content creation.

Any further education undertaken during your working hours is subject to the prior approval of your manager.

  • CAU-Certificates: Certificate in digital competences in science: Producing and publishing digital media
  • Fee: 250,00 €. Free for employees of CAU and PhD students who are registered within the Graduiertenzentrum.
  • Deadline for registration: 11 days before the date of the course
