Course description

This workshop offers a hands-on introduction to the programming language Python, which is suitable especially for data-driven tasks, automation, and the development of small programs and analysis tools. The participants will understand basic programming concepts and develop the competence to write simple programs, to troubleshoot typical errors, and to advance their programming skills independently. The workshop also includes a short introduction to data visualization with the Matplotlib library.

• write simple programs in Python.
• identify and troubleshoot typical programming issues.
• identify, include and use Python libraries
• import, process and export data in Python.
• generate basic data visualizations using the Matplotlib library.

• When you register as a mandatory participant, please note that attending the training is part of your official duties and an unexcused absence is a violation of your official responsibilities. Any further education undertaken during your working hours is subject to the prior approval of your manager.
